Renaturation of the Venoge River

AquaVision Engineering is actually performing a huge river renaturation study on the Venoge River between Eclépens and Lussery in Switzerland. The Venoge is actually canalized and will be widened over a total length of about 5 km.

AquaVision Engineering pilots the project from the feasibility study to the project execution and follow-up of the construction phases. The feasibility study has mainly focused on the future geomorphological equilibrium and on future flood safety of the area. A detailed project study has allowed to determine the new dimensions of the Venoge River as well as the 2D velocities and shear stresses exerted on the river banks and bottom during extreme floods.  Based on GIS-based design, an optimal balance of necessary form works could be obtained, reducing so construction costs.

The project is performed within the framework of environmental sustainability and, thus, socio-economic, environmental and technical aspects are being optimized in an integrated manner.
